Will Long Memorial Scholarship Program


Purpose:

The purpose of the West Texas Junior Champions Tour Scholarship Program is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education goals for WTJCT members who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement during high school.


Scholarship:

The WTJCT Scholarship program is designed to award a one time cash scholarship to graduating seniors. The amount of the Scholarship is yet to be determined.


Eligibility:

Applicants for the WTJCT Scholarship Program must be current members of the WTJCT.

The achievements on the WTJCT is not part of the selection criteria.

Applicants must have completed (or plan to complete) high school prior to September 1st, 2012 and must be enrolled (or plan to enroll) as a full time student at an accredited college.


Selection of Scholarship Winners:

Scholarship recipients will be selected on the following competitive basis by using a combination of criteria:

1. Acadamic Performance (High School G.P.A. and ACT/SAT scores)
2. Financial Need
3. Extracurricular Activities


Scholarship Application:

If you are interested in applying for the WTJCT Scholarship, fill out the application form and submit by May 15th, 2012.

The applicant must complete the form in its entirety and submit it to the West Texas Junior Champions Tour Scholarship Committee by the deadline set above.

If the application is not filled out completly or not submitted by the deadline it will not be considered.

Scholarship Committee will keep all information supplied to us confidential.


Applicant Must Submit:

- Most current High School transcript (must show ACT/SAT test scores)
- Transcripts MUST contain your cumulative G.P.A.
