Sonora Boys Golf Team Win District and advance to Regionals and WTJCT Player Elizabeth Chavarria advances to Regionals as an Individual after shooting 78-76 to win District. The Lampasas Girls Varsity golf team won first place at the Kerville Tivy Invitational on 3/1/10. They won by 12 strokes with a team score of 356. Carmen Gonzalez was first overall with a 82 and Brittany Graham was fifth with an 88. Both girls are returning WTJCT Players.
WTJCT player Jarred Briley won the Rising Star Tournament on March 2, 2010. He shot an 86 taking 1st place by 12 strokes in a field of 22 players. This is Jarred's first win in any tournament.
WTJCT Player Cory Churchman-Abilene Cooper High School Freshman in just his 2nd golf tournament of the year and shot 71-68 for a total of 139(-3 under) to finish as the 1st place medalist at the Big Spring Invitational on Feb 12-13. His -3 under round included 2 birdies, 1 eagle, 14 pars and just 1 bogey. Cory has played 3 tournaments this year finishing 1st, 2nd and 5th place.
